Francesco Vitali, 2006f - Taxonomic, biological and evolutionistic
notes on the Spondylidinae included in Baltic amber (Coleoptera,
Cerambycidae) - Entomapeiron (P. S.)
1 (3): 29-44. ISBN10: 88-87400-03-2; ISBN13: 978-88-87400-03-8 The fossil Spondylidinae described so far in Baltic amber (Late Eocene) are analysed. Nothorrhina granulicollis Zang, 1905 is corrected in Nothorhina granulicollis Zang, 1905. The genus Palaeoasemum Abdullah,
1967 is recognised as a younger synonym of Nothorhina
Redtenbacher, 1845. The taxonomic position of Spondylis crassicornis Giebel, 1856 is analysed. This fossil cerambycid, whose holotype (Universitat Leipzig) is lost, must be considered as Cerambycidae incertae sedis. The presence in Baltic amber of the genus Tetropium Kirby, 1837 is analysed. The biology, the geonemy and the
palaeohistory of Nothorhina granulicollis are
here proposed in relationship with those of the extant
congeners Nothorhina muricata (Dalman, 1817) and
Nothorhina gardneri Plavilshikov, 1934. (in English with German summary) |
