Cylindrepomus ballerioi nov. sp. (Lamiinae, Dorcaschematini) is endemic Malayan species, coming from the Malacca peninsula.

This species belongs to the Cylindrepomus-group, characterised by very elongate prothorax. It is similar to C. mantiformis Hüdepohl, 1989, but it hasn't spots of pubescence on the elytra, 3rd, 4th antennal joints and tibiae black, antennae and tooth of elytra longer.

This species is dedicated to its collector, Dr. Alberto Ballerio, Brescia (Italy)

Holotype deposed in the ZSM (Zoologische Staatssammlung, Münich, Germany).
